DAVID HURST: b.c.1786. I am looking for more information
on David Hurst, born either in New Jersey or Germany. There is some conflict
in the sources about which is correct. He married Mary French November
26, 1810 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born June 22, 1871 in New Jersey
to Samuel and Elizabeth French. I would like to confirm David's birthplace
and search for his parents.

WILLIAM BRITTEN HURST: Looking for ancestors
of William Britten Hurst. Born 1840 in Sevier or Bedford Co. TN. A William
and Mary Hurst are listed in the 1850 TN census with a son by the name
of William that would be just about the right age. There is another William
Hurst born in 1840 in TN and I believe these families have gotten mixed
up unless my William's father was not William. William Britten Hurst served
in the Civil War and married Nancy Crow in 1868 in Conway, AR. He settled
in Pope County Arkansas around 1885.

JEREMIAH HURST: Looking for information
on the "Jeremiah Hurst" (and his ancestors) shown in "American
Hurst Databases" on this web site. I know he purchased 50 acres in
Claiborne Co. TN in 1820 from Reuben Harper & sold same to Anderson
Keen (or Keen Anderson) in 1823. He was "heading west" &
settled in Morgan Co. TN, where he had land grants & lived till his
death in 1854. I'd really appreciate any documented info on Jeremiah, his
children, his wife, his parents, or anyone who had dealings with him before
1823.

Mary Hurst: about 1820 (possibly in County Mayo). She married William
Loftus (possibly in New York) before 1850 and had at least five (possibly
more) children: John (not confirmed)

New York; Sarah b. 1855 in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada; Edward b. 1857

died in the early 1860's possibly due to tuberculosis - possibly due to

WILLAM S HURST (1755-1835): I am trying
to prove that William S. Hurst (1755-1835) is the father of Benedict Hurst
(1808-1886), but have hit a dead end. Benedict was born in either Braecken
County or Fayette County, Kentucky. He died in Edgar County, Illinois and
was buried in the Woodland Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois. Benedict was
married to Elizabeth Busby. William S. Hurst was born in Berkley, Virginia
(or possibly West Virgina). William moved to Westmoreland County in Pennsylvania,
Fayette County in Kentucky, Washington County in Indiana, and finally Edgar
County in Illinois where he died. William S. was married to Lucinda Poe.
